Clients

Being in a small community can be challenging in terms of quantity of work - however it has enabled me to work in so many different aspects of photography with such a broad spread of clients, that I feel truly lucky.

Some of the lovely organisations and people that I have worked with are listed below. Additionally, of course, (and not listed!) - there are the many, many portraits, family events and special occasions that I have enjoyed working on.

“Claire’s approach to working creatively within iwi/hapu spaces is one of utmost sensitivity & respect. Her outstanding ability to capture those poignant and often highly emotional moments of cultural historical significance is evident in the portfolio of photographs take for Tuhono Kerikeri Bicentennial and Te Ahurea Dawn Blessing & Official Opening ceremonies. ”

— June Pitman, Event & Project Manager (Tuhono Kerikeri Bicentennial & Te Ahurea Project 2019 -2021).

Testimonials

  • “Claire worked with us on the New Zealand leg of the UB40 2017 Tour.   I found her to be very professional, excellent at respecting artists requests and taking direction.   She had a great rapport with the artists, was easy to work with and, very importantly, was invisible whilst working – even on the stage!   We loved her images and will be using some for our own PR.  I would recommend Claire to anyone seeking a music photographer.”

UB40 featuring Ali, Astro and Mickey

  • Claire, showed her professional experience from the start by making sure she knows all about the event, the people and the desired outcome we wanted from her. She gave us the feeling from the start that she is truly behind our event and will make sure we get what we need. Over the 3 day event she managed to be part of our team while staying outside - not interfering with the action to capture the people, the important moment Claire is truly an outstanding photographer (and wonderful person) with an amazing ability to capture the true nature of people and events. I'd recommend Claire to anyone!

  • Claire Gordon was the photographer for an important hui of leading specialist doctors at Waitangi, and her photos were superb. She made sure she knew exactly what was needed, what would work in publications and then went the extra mile. Claire captures those special moments that tell a story and her ability to relax the talent is priceless. Highly recommend!
